Nursing Education Specialty (NEd)

The curriculum leading to the Master of Science Degree can be completed through a full-time or part-time plan of study. Full-time study requires a minimum of 10 semester hours per semester. Co-acceptance in one of the following clinical specialty programs is required: Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Women's Health, or Acute Care. The number of semester hours for nursing education specialty depends on the clinical specialty chosen to complement the NEd: Pediatrics (45); Geriatrics (43); Women's Health (43); Acute Care (46). Under the Graduate School policy, a maximum of six (6) consecutive calendar years from date of first enrollment is allowed for completion of all degree requirements. The NEd specialty also has a post-graduate option.
